I would like to update you on all our stylist development programs for the coming year. I was having a conversation with a Guest of mine where I was explaining how devoted and how much training the team under go. This guest was surprised by the amount of further education we undertake.
All stylists at Vital have a clear career development program through conversations and guest feedback. I am thrilled to share with you what each stylist will focus on this coming year.
Elen, Joined us straight from school and completed her apprenticeship with us and has gone onto achieve greatness in London at the British hairdressing awards coming runner up with Young stylist of the year. This year Elen will complete her 'Beauty works' Hair extension specialist accreditation working alongside our current specialist Lucy. I know Elen will be perfect for the role and we couldn’t be more pleased and proud to see her continue her career with us.
Cheney, Joined us in the latter half of last year and has slotted in beautifully and has received some outstanding feedback. This year Cheney has already started her year long course with Joico on the 'colour excellence program'. This is an elite, intensive colour boot camp lasting the full year. Cheney will learn not only how to articulate the complexity of colour choice and skin tones to her guest but will deep dive into the hair science of colour and the hairs biology - This course is the epitome of what it means to be a hair colourist.
and on successful completion will join Lucy and me as Master colourists.
Ashleigh, Started with us after the first lockdown and has grown rapidly into a charismatic stylist with heaps of personality and talent. Ashleigh will travel to London to take part in a 3 day cutting course by the team at 'Alilion' (think modern day Vidal Sassoon) This unique 3-day course will challenge even the most experienced stylist as it is designed to work on the true fundamentals of haircutting the Allilon way. “Technique” is our most precise cutting course and is a perfect choice for analytical stylists. This course completely changed my personal approach to designing a haircut and will do the same for Ashleigh
Lucy will continue to educate the team and sharing her wealth of knowledge with other salons around the UK on behalf of Joico and with the team here at Vital.
Myself (Nick), Well, you can't improve on perfection! Joking aside my time will be spent developing new salon initiatives and innovations to bring the very best to your time with us. I will also work with Joico in the role of 'BlondeLife colour ambassador' in the current focus on launching our new blonde ranges in the summer, which improves lift and hair integrity, allowing for more beautiful and long-lasting blondes ready for summer!
