The idea with finding inner peace lead to our research into different cultures and seeing what we could learn and use to create a salon experience with these new goals for our guest’s. After amazing feedback we have now decided to stock our favourite ranges from the ‘Temple of incense’ for our guests to purchase and continue to find inner peace be it in the salon or at home.
The Temple of Incense story began in 2012, on a little market stall on Portobello Road, when two sisters from London – Simi and Sam Aydee – set out to bring you the best in world-class incense. The ritual of burning incense is something that has been engrained in their lives for as long as they can remember, and have now dedicated everything to bringing that bit of magic into your homes.

Amber;
Our premium Amber incense sticks are undoubtedly one of our most luxurious scents. A deeply resinous blend of amber, vetiver, labdanum, amyris and a drop of patchouli.

Himalayan spikenard;
This precious Himalayan Spikenard incense from the Himalayas is known as ‘divine’ in Ayurveda and revered in the Bible. According to Christian Gospel, spikenard or ‘nard’ was the precious oil used by Mary Magdalene to anoint the feet of Jesus Christ. This was a time when one jar of oil was worth a years’ wages.
We’ve used this oil, carefully blended with bakhoor, musk, oakmoss and vetiver to create a majestic stick to complement and even rival our famous Oudh.
Use these spikenard incense sticks to strengthen the mind and calm feelings of anger, jealousy and anxiety. It should help calm the nerves. Spikenard is also known to help with insomnia and restless sleep.

Jasmine blossom;
Jasmine is the sacred flower of the Hindu God of love, Kama. It has been used for centuries as an ingredient for love potions to capture or rekindle the affection of a loved one. Its sweet, exotic and highly floral scent works both as an aphrodisiac and an anti-depressant.

Tulsi;
Tulsi incense sticks are made from the most sacred plant of Hindu tradition – Tulsi. Also known as Holy Basil, Tulsi has great importance in Ayurvedic medicine, often translated as ‘the incomparable one’.

These sticks are soaked in the best of Oudh oils. Sparing no cost – the agarwood (oudh) used here is opulent, deep and sensual.
